I’m Haydon Biddle, a new voice in the world of folk music. My lyrics are inspired by the rugged beauty of North Cornwall’s coastline and the rich history of the Tamar Valley. My sound is rooted in traditional folk music and hearkens to the influences of Seth Lakeman's story telling, the sensitivity of Damien Rice, and the raw emotion of Sam Fender. Through my songs, I tell tales of struggle, resilience, and the journey of overcoming the hurdles that life can throw at us. Drawing inspiration from bands like Mumford & Sons and Show of Hands, my music weaves timeless, traditional sounds with a modern voice.
Some of my tracks are infused with the natural sounds of home and the places I’ve been—capturing the essence of Cornwall’s wild beauty. From the crashing waves along the coast to the gentle flow of the Tamar River, each song invites you to experience the landscape and its stories. These tracks are more than just music—they’re a journey through the heart of Cornwall, where tales of endurance and strength come to life in every note.
I absolutely love playing live, whether it’s just me and my guitar or joined by friends who bring their own magic to the mix. There’s something special about sharing that connection with an audience, feeling the energy of the room, and telling stories through music. I’ve just finished my debut album, and I’m so excited to take it on the road. I’ll be playing the songs live across venues in the southwest over the next few months, and I can’t wait to bring the music to life in front of people who are ready to join me on this journey.
Coming soon....
Arriving shortly will be some videos (once they have been filmed!) for a small selection of songs from my debut album. To listen or purchase full versions of my songs, you will also shortly be able to find them on all major online platforms. I will include links once the album is launched.
Thank you for joining me on this adventure—I’m thrilled to share these stories with you.
